Ambassador Gershon Gan served as a career diplomat in
Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for over 30 years which included diplomatic postings in the US, Europe and Africa.
He has held a variety of significant positions: Ambassador to Zimbabwe and a number of other African countries, Consul for Public Affairs in Boston and New York, Delegate to the UN and Diplomat in Residence at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He has participated in peace negotiations with both Egypt and Lebanon.


Senior postings at MFA HQ in Jerusalem.included directing the efforts to show-case worlwide Israel's outstanding literary and artistic talents. This was followed by a key role at the Centre for International Cooperation - MASHAV, which is responsible for planning and implementing Israel's program of technical and humanitarian assistance to the developing world. His involvement with Mashav's activities has given him an in-depth perspective on international development issues, and Israel's role as a donor nation. 

Gershon Gan specialized in communications and crisis management during a training period at the international PR consultancy Burson-Marsteller in Washington and London.

He holds a degree in International Relations and History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

He has extensive public speaker and media interview experience, maintaining a broad perspective on international affairs with a special focus on current developments in Israel, the Middle East and Africa. He delivers his lectures with extensive knowledge and authority, and his presentations have been received with great appreciation and enthusiasim.

In addition to now being active as a public speaker, including regular speaker tours to the UK and US, he serves as consultant to Mashav, and also as a SENIOR TRAINER on the staff of The Negotiations Skills Company, Inc., an international coaching and training consultancy on collaborative decision-making and conflict prevention.

His greatest challenge in public speaking is not to repeat a joke with the same audience.
